Since it was established in 2005, Magna Parva has enjoyed significant growth and now employs 20 highly skilled people at its headquarters in Bardon Hill near Coalville, Leicestershire.
The company provides engineering services, hardware and innovative product solutions to demanding R&D markets such as Space, Defence, Aerospace and Energy all over the world.
Recent work has involved Magna Parva developing an 'all-in-one' sampling system that can withstand the temperatures and conditions of Mars to collect samples from the planet's surface and analyse them for evidence of life. For this project, the company has had to embrace the latest technology in miniaturisation which has potential for application in the medical, defence and environmental arenas.
The work has earned the company a nomination for a Lord Stafford Award in the category of ‘Innovation in Development’.
Magna Parva graduated from the Innovation Centre in May 2009.
